FRIDAY NIGHT FLEX needs a new host.
UPDATE: Scoopin has volunteered for this position, and did a WONDERFUL job hosting last Friday (5/15). However, if anyone is still interested in learning to raid lead, I would love to add additional coverage to our events. Thanks, Bar.
Friday Night Flex has been an overwhelmingly positive tool for the guild, helping us grow our community of active players and bridge the gap between non-progression raiders and casual members. Unfortunately, the event's overlord, Kadre, will no longer be able to attend the event due to a work promotion (Congratulate him if you get the chance!).
6.2 offers a unique opportunity for the guild. At the dawn of a new raid tier, players are always more captivated by strong leadership and organization. Today, most players know the fights and have a lot of the HM/BRF gear. However, with the drop of Hellfire Citadel, few will have researched the fights in the PTR and come prepared to tackle the new challenges.
House of Zug has a long history of providing this service to the Silvermoon community, and inevitably we pickup some really awesome recruits along the way. Attendance and focus are always high at the start of a new tier, a perfect learning environment for a new raid leader.
House of Zug needs 1-2 highly motivated players with the availability to commit 100% to leading the Friday Night Flex event.
Don't worry. We're not throwing you into the deep end! I, Barotar, will be more than happy to invest my time into teaching how to raid lead. However, we are looking for a few skills:
- A strong yet fun personality. Someone who can easily defuse tension and maintain a "fun yet focused" environment.
- Confidence and Humility. A raid leader must be swift and decisive in the moment, then humble and open-minded after a wipe.
- Commitment. A team captain needs to be the most committed person on the team. Your actions are the model your teammates will look to when determining how much effort is required.
- Personal Excellence. Being a raid leader requires a lot of focus. It requires you to be looking elsewhere when you should be focused on your character. A raid leader must master his/her own class and role before he/she can be focusing on others.
I assure you, raid leading is one of the most rewarding and exciting elements of this game. Moreover, the skill set you will learn by accepting this challenge will serve you the rest of your life: strong leadership is a timeless investment.
If you are interested, please contact me (Barotar) and tell me why you're the best choice. Sell yourself! (I'm willing to invest my time teaching, but only to someone or someones who is(are) willing to invest the time learning.)
Thank you!
